Joey is a Paramedic/ Fire fighter and also teaches paramedic courses. He is a very hard worker and is always progressing in everything he does. He is admired and respected by everyone around him. He loves to be active and keeps our family playing all the time. A good motto that fits him is “WORK HARD to PLAY HARD.” Even though Joey has a lot of responsibility at work, his schedule provides him with many opportunities to spend time taking the family on many unbelievable adventures.
Joey loves camping in the trailer with the motorbikes. We are always exploring and trying to find new camping spots with all the best riding trails. Joey will jump at any opportunity to take our family on an adventure. One example is this past fall Madison had to do a county report. So on a whim we decided we must go explore this county so we could learn all the good details first hand. This county is not one of the more populated ones, and we had no idea what we would find there besides a bunch of rocks. In one way we were right, there were a bunch of rocks, but there were also many trails we could ride the four wheelers on. These trails led us on the most beautiful adventure of learning and exploration. One of the coolest things besides the awesome memories, was that Madison was able to make her poster display with photographs she took on her very own camera. The world is so beautiful and it never ceases to amaze me how it changes so much from place to place, but yet the beauty remains.
Joey loves boating, swimming, water skiing and any water sport. He swam on the high school swim team. He also loves snow sports including skiing and snowboarding. He is such a good teacher and has so much patience. Joey is always willing to bring along any friend or family member and help them learn any of these activities.
It is very rare to see Joey sitting down. He just keeps going like an energizer bunny. He doesn’t know how to sit still. When he’s not at work or out playing he likes to work on his hobbies. Joey has a special talent working with wood. He has built many pieces of furniture in our home. He loves when the kids want to come help him in the garage. He can spend individual time with them teaching them about the tools and helping them create projects. Joey is so good with kids. When he’s not helping our children he is helping with the scouts, or even helping the neighbor kids learn simple tasks such as how to fix their bike tires.
Another great hobby Joey has is cooking. He loves to cook! When he's at the fire station his partners request him to make meals, so he’s often assumed to be the designated chef. When dad’s home we never complain about dinner. It's especially great because he loves to involve the kids and enjoys them being his little helpers.
Joey is very gifted with numbers. Ha has always understood math. This has been a wonderful blessing in our marriage, allowing us to always be on top of our finances and savings.
I could go on for hours about how great, funny, smart and talented Joey is, but most of all I love him because he is my best friend and he’s such a good father. I am excited to spend the rest of my life with him, and can’t wait to see what kind of adventure he will take us on next!
